Alloy’s first Virtual Open House
Our clients have been incredibly generous in allowing us to celebrate the completion of their new homes with an exclusive soiree. It’s a chance for our friends, other clients, and guests to experience our work in person and gather ideas for their own custom builds. This year, however, COVID-19 had other plans for us. As a result, we got creative and brought the open house experience right to our guests’ living rooms with an immersive 3D experience. The added benefit? We get to share it with you, too.
Welcome to Yakisugi! This stunning, 3,400-square-foot home is uniquely designed to take advantage of an unusual site and carefully frame a spectacular downtown view. Inside, a tunnel to the detached garage doubles as a huge mudroom. A bespoke stairway incorporates a continuous LED “ribbon of light” that wraps around the guard rail all the way from the basement to the second floor. Form and function were top of mind when we designed this home for a busy young family with a passion for modern architecture.
Explore the virtual tour and check out the video features within, where Alloy's managing partners, Mace Mortimer and Christopher Lemke highlight some of our favourite features in the one-of-a-kind, modern home.
We hope you enjoy exploring this incredible property and we look forward to seeing you in person again soon.
